It's a fact: Soils are the basis for much of life as we know it. So it goes without saying that dirty hands are an essential part of our Wildland Soils program. The same goes for just about any natural resource or science program at Humboldt State.
We take full advantage of the spectacular natural environment that surrounds our campus. For example, geology students study some of the most diverse coastlines in California, while our forestry students learn in acres of redwood forests and oceanography students explore Humboldt's epic coastline.
Our graduates tell us that having the chance to learn in such amazing settings with professors who are leaders in their field is vital to succeeding in life after college.
