Learn about the relationship of libraries to the people of Chiapas in economic and social terms, addressing things like education, language, and services. Contrast the library environment in Chiapas with that in the United States. The speaker Tony López has a profile here.

The countries of Central America continue to live the legacy of decades of civil war, repression, and even genocide.  Yet even among the difficulties in a postwar Central America lies a more hopeful history of peace and social justice movements. This presentation will explore this "peace narrative."

Alison Holmes, "Tea with the Queen and Coalition Government: British Politics in a Post-Empire World" Nelson Hall East 102 (Goodwin Forum)

Last year, UK history was made when a Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition ousted the Labour Party. Will British politics ever be the same? Dr Holmes ran Liberal Democrat campaigns for ten years and was a party consultant in 2010.

4-5

Rounaque Grover, "Incredible India" (Goodwin Forum)

The land of dreams of fabulous wealth, of splendour, of palaces, of genii and giants and Alladin lamps, of tigers and elephants, the country of hundred nations or a hundred tongues, of thousand religions and two million gods, cradle of human race birth place of human speech, mother of history, grandmother of legend, great grandmother of traditions.
I invite you to have a glimpse of the one land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, would not give up even a glimpse for the shows of all the rest of the world combined.
