In Spring 2011, the HSU community participated in 15 unique Institute sessions and three Book Circles designed to provide resources and strategies useful in supporting a variety of student learning eneds and enhancing the success of students from diverse backgrounds.
Participants obtained information to assist them in developing strategies to better meet student's needs, implemented changes to professional or instructional practices that enourage student success and observed an improvement in student behavior/success.
In 2009 the Learning & Teaching Institute providing a full day of learning opportunities that both presented and modeled best practices in support of improving student learning outcomes and achieving inclusive academic excellence. Special attention was focused on creating and assessing workshop objectives to determine not only what was learned during the event, but how that learning will translate to ongoing course transformation.
