NOTE:
The international transfer process varies depending on whether or not you leave the US before you come to HSU:
If you are currently studying at another school in the US but will be leaving the US prior to coming to Humboldt State University (HSU), simply show the Immigration Officer HSU's I-20 when you reenter the US. You do not need visit the US consulate unless your student visa has expired. By entering the US on HSU's I-20, you effectively transfer to HSU.
However, you must turn in copies of your I-20, I-94 card, passport, and visa to the admissions officer for verification upon arrival at HSU
Once you are registered full time at HSU, we will register you in SEVIS as a full time student. Completing the transfer process in a timely and precise manner is an important requirement. If you fail to meet the deadlines and requirements for transfer, you may lose your legal status in the US.
