The Institute for Study of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ISADR) is a conflict resolution training, education and research institute based in the Research and Graduate Studies Department of Humboldt State University.
Located in the heart of California's redwood forests on the coast of Humboldt County, ISADR offers professional mediation training through a Certificate Program.
Throughout the year ISADR staff and faculty perform addtional research, curriculum design, program support and community outreach.
ISADR was founded under the philosophy that alternative dispute resolution as a process improves the quality of interpersonal as well as public decision making, develops a greater capacity for avoiding protracted disputes, and creates a culture of cooperation amongst individuals, families, businesses, communities and political entities.
