This Brown Bag session will discuss strategies to clarify the language and terminology used to identify and describe business processes.
We’ll cover topics like:

In the fall of 2013, the ITS Project Office added structured process improvement strategies to the project management process to ensure that improved customer service, increased productivity, and decreased costs result from technology projects. By focusing on the improvement of underlying processes, the campus will benefit from a more solid and effective foundation on which to build future technology projects.
Twice a year, the ITS Project Office issues a call for project proposals. These proposals are then scored by the Project Prioritization Steering Committee and assessed for feasibility in terms of funds and resources. Once this process has been completed, the committee makes its recommendations to the University Vice Presidents, who in turn make the final decision on which projects get the green light, which need further work, and which will not be acted upon at this time.
