Guest Wireless Access

HSU provides both short and long-term campus guests with Internet access via wireless networks without the need to install the usual policy key software. While this level of access is more limited than the full policy-based setup, it does allow guest users to gain access to the Internet quickly and keeps our campus network more secure. All guest access to the Internet occurs outside the campus firewall.

Wireless :: HSU-Owned Devices :: Download PolicyKey Software

You can install the PolicyKey software before you arrive on campus to speed up your wireless registration process.  Simply download the installer that matches your OS and double-click the downloaded file.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Wireless :: Your Wireless Options at HSU

Wireless access is available throughout the HSU campus to all students, staff and faculty with a valid HSU User Name and Password. Guest access can be arranged through the Technology Help Desk.

HSU offers two flavors of wireless connectivity on campus:

Security :: Security Alert :: Mac users must update Mac OS X immediately

A Java vulnerability has caused at least 600,000 Macs worldwide to become infected by the Flashback Trojan without the user's knowledge or consent. Mac users must patch their OS and take other appropriate actions as described below to secure their computers.

Please also treat this as a wakeup call that, contrary to popular belief, malware impacts Macs as well as PCs. Be very wary of offers to install software and addons from unknown sources.
