Agenda Topics and Meeting Summary

1.0 Review Proposals by two subgroups

Define what data is available and not; what data is connected and what we’d like to connect

  • Identified data sources not currently in OBI and proposed a Data Source website that contains:
  • A page for each source that lists what reports are available and a thumbnail of the report.
  • A tab for Student, Finance, HR, Fundraisers, and Surveys that lists the types of sources that contain that information, what data is captured, and where they go to get that data.
  • A section for KBOX data requests where the fields in the sub form change based on the initial dropdown selection.
  • Discussed the role of the Gatekeeper and Dispatcher and whether Gatekeeper contact information should be listed for general questions. If we require everyone to use the form, even for general questions, we have more documentation to justify a data need.

Address process for asking/vetting, prioritizing, and providing informational tools

  • Gatekeepers and Dispatchers need to meet with Bethany on design of form, which should not be intricate. It should get users to where they have the data and can filter themselves.
  • Need to clearly define Gatekeeper and Dispatcher.

2.0 Next meetings

  • Meet July 17, 9am to check in with both subgroups on progress and get feedback.
