Accounts on Central Servers - All faculty are provided with an HSU User Name and Password for email (webmail.humboldt.edu), web (users.humboldt.edu), file storage (Network Folders), our Learning Management System (Moodle - learn.humboldt.edu) and more for the entire time they are associated with HSU.
Activate Your Account/Change Password - Direct connection to the Account Center to activate your HSU User Name and Password.
Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching - Provides campus educators with innovative and useful pedagogical strategies to help support student learning.
Computer Hardware Guidelines - HSU suggested minimum computer configurations. Faculty may find these standards useful for student advising.
Computer Labs - Information on interdisciplinary and discipline specific computer labs including lab schedules, hardware and software, problem reporting, how to schedule labs, and printing in labs.
Email - Learn about our email system. Use email online at webmail.humboldt.edu. Find instructions for setting up Outlook, Mac Mail and other email clients. Sync your email and calendar to your SmartPhone.
Faculty Development Opportunities - Teaching resources, calendar of events, funding opportunities.
Faculty Center - Submit grades, view class lists with email addresses, student schedules, magic number lists, instructor class schedule, student academic records (transcript), etcetera.
Information Security - Security issues that may affect various computing activities at Humboldt State University.
Moodle - HSU's Learning Management System allows you to engage your students in an online format. Share files, connect with forums, administer quizes, use the gradebook, and more. Network Folders - Access your files anywhere you have an Internet connection. Share files with your students in a lab with the Faculty Shared Folder.
Passwords - Your HSU User Name Password is the key to protecting the data you have access to (including your email and student records). You should choose a strong password. Passwords expire at least once a year, depending on which systems you access.
Policy for Responsible Computing - HSU Appropriate Use Policy, World Wide Web Policy, and Conditions of Use for HSU central servers.

Quota - The amount of file space you have on each system varies. Typically, you can request more space via an online form: Email, Faculty Web Sites & Network Folders, Departmental Web Sites.
Smart Classrooms & Equipment Checkout - Many classrooms are equipped with computer and projection equipment. If you are teaching in a room that isn't, you can checkout equipment for your class.
Virus Protection - Your computer can get a virus from another computer, through email, the web, USB drives and other portable media. Protect your computer from viruses by taking advantage of HSU's campus-wide license for Sophos Antivirus and by only downloading programs from sources you trust.
Webmail - Access your email from any computer that has a Web browser and access to the Internet.
Web Conferencing - HSU licenses the Elluminate web conferencing system for distance meetings and meetings with students working in the field.
