Getting Started

When you first start up your Kindle Fire on campus, the HSUWireless-Secure network will not be shown on the list of available Wi-Fi networks. Follow the steps below to connect to the HSUWireless-Secure network.

Note that other Kindle models do not currently support secure wireless network connection.

Step 1: On the home screen, tap the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen. 

Step 2: Tap Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Make sure Wireless Networking is turned On and tap Add a Network

Step 4: Configure your device to connect to the HSUWireless-Secure network as follows:

• Enter the Network SSID HSUWireless-Secure exactly as written here.
• For Security, tap the down arrow and select WPA2 EAP
• For the EAP method, select PEAP.
• For Phase 2 authentication, select MSCHAPV2.
• For CA certificate, select (unspecified).
• For User certificate, select (unspecified).
• For Identity, enter your HSU User Name [1].
• Leave the Anonymous Identity box blank.
• For Password, enter your HSU Password.
• Tap Save.
