Accounts on Central Servers  - All faculty are provided with an HSU User Name  and Password for the myHumboldt  portal to enable access to email  (webmail.humboldt.edu ), our Learning Management System (Moodle ) and more for the entire time they are associated with HSU. Your User Name and Password also gives you access to the user.web  and file storage (Network Folders),
Computer Hardware Guidelines  - HSU suggested minimum computer configurations. Faculty may find these standards useful for student advising.
Computer Labs  - Information on interdisciplinary and discipline specific computer labs including lab schedules, hardware and software, problem reporting, how to schedule labs, and printing in labs.
Faculty Development Opportunities  - Teaching resources, calendar of events, funding opportunities.
Faculty Center  - Submit grades, view class lists with email addresses, student schedules, magic number lists, instructor class schedule, student academic records (transcript), etcetera.
Information Security  - Security issues that may affect various computing activities at Humboldt State University.
Lab & Smart Classroom Software Requests  - When you schedule time in a Humboldt State University computing lab or smart classroom, you'll need to ensure the software you need is installed in that facility. If it's not, you'll need to submit a Software Request Form  in good time ahead of your classes to enable ITS to make the necessary adjustments.
Moodle  - HSU's Learning Management System allows you to engage your students in an online format. Share files, connect with forums, administer quizes, use the gradebook, and more. Log in at http://www.humboldt.edu/myhumboldt  and click the Moodle icon in the upper right-hand corner above your name. Passwords  - Your HSU User Name Password is the key to protecting the data you have access to (including your email and student records). You should choose a strong password . Passwords expire  at least once a year, depending on which systems you access.
Policies relating to Information Security  - It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the requirements of the CSU and HSU policies covering the security and protection of confidential information.

Quota - The amount of file space you have on each system varies. Typically, you can request more space via an online form: Email , Faculty Web Sites & Network Folders , Departmental Web Sites .
Smart Classrooms  & Equipment Checkout - Many classrooms  are equipped with computer and projection equipment. If you are teaching in a room that isn't, you can check out equipment  for your class.
Virus Protection  - Your computer can get a virus from another computer, through email, the web, USB drives and other portable media. Protect your computer from viruses by installing and keeping updated one of the HSU-recommended antivirus programs  and by only downloading programs from sources you trust.
