Account Activation/Change Password [2] - Connect directly to the Account Center [2] to activate your HSU User Name [3] and set or change your password

Computer Accounts [4] - All staff must use their HSU User Name and Password to access myHumboldt [5], which provides single sign-on access to email, PeopleSoft, and other common applications.

Email [6] - Learn about our email system. Set up [7] Outlook, Mac Mail, and other email clients. Synchronize [8] your email and calendar with your SmartPhone.

Information Security [9] - Security issues and policies governing the use of various computing facilities at HSU.

Network Folders [10] - Access your files from anywhere you have an Internet connection. 

OBI [11]- search, analyze, and report on information stored in the PeopleSoft Finance and Human Resources databases on a one-off or repeating schedule.

Passwords [12] - Your HSU Password is the key to protecting the data you have access to (including your email and all protected information, including confidential records). Follow these guidelines [13] to choose a strong password.

Policy Documents [14] - It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with HSU's policies for responsible computing, web development, and conditions of use for University computing equipment.

Virus Protection [15] - Computers can easily become infected with viruses and other malware [16] simply by connecting to the Internet as well as by the more traditional means of sharing files, using removable media or drives, or over email. HSU has a campus-wide license for Sophos Antivirus, which should be installed and kept up to date on any computer you use to connect to the University's networks.
