What does the PolicyKey scan for?

In order to ensure you can log onto the campus wireless network securely, the PolicyKey [1] scans your computer for

• an up-to-date operating system (Windows XP, Vista, 7; Mac OS 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, Linux)
• up-to-date antivirus software from the approved list of antivirus programs [2]
• Windows firewall [3] enabled
• Windows updates enabled
• No network address translation (NAT)
• No peer-to-peer software running
• No proxy [4] running
