Automating the current paper process will enable the early identification of academically at-risk students, reducing a 12-step process to a five-step process and getting affected students help more quickly by reducing the time between alert and intervention to as little as three days. By allowing for closed-loop communication and task monitoring, faculty can reinforce the student relationship and improve retention rates.

10/10/12: This project request has been withdrawn at Peg Blake's request and replaced by a new project request for a campus-wide Early Alert system for student intervention.
5/8/12: Solution definition needed before recommending approval. ITS will work with the project team to identify specific requirements and the processes and products proposed for the resolution of the problem. On completion of this analysis, the project will be evaluated for resubmission in a subsequent prioritization cycle or scheduled with available resources.
