Automating the current paper process will enable the early identification of academically at-risk students, reducing a 12-step process to a five-step process and getting affected students help more quickly by reducing the time between alert and intervention to as little as three days. By allowing for closed-loop communication and task monitoring, faculty can reinforce the student relationship and improve retention rates.

10/10/12: This project request has been withdrawn at Peg Blake's request and replaced by a new project request for a campus-wide Early Alert system for student intervention.
5/8/12: Solution definition needed before recommending approval. ITS will work with the project team to identify specific requirements and the processes and products proposed for the resolution of the problem.
