Status Update

04/24/12:  The new system is fully operational and all project tasks have been completed. This project is now closed.

03/27/12:  All individual mailboxes were switched over to the new system on schedule on 3/6/12. Work continues with a few areas that have more complex mailbox use to verify those mailboxes are working correctly in the new system. 

02/28/12: On track for 3/6/12 go live date.

01/30/12: The project schedule has been extended to allow for additional training time. The new system has been deployed to a pilot group of 25 voicemail accounts in ITS to assist in identifying potential issues before the new planeed cutover date of 3/6/12.

12/20/11:  TUI license received today and installed. Initial testing will begin on 12/21/11 to verify that the correct TUI has been selected. Additional  testing will be scheduled through the remainder of the week leading up to the break.

12/2/11: Upgraded OS (Server 2008) and additional hard drives have been installed. Application has been reinstalled and configured. Preliminary testing is being conducted by voice admins. Awaiting Telephone User Interface (TUI) licensing to ensure new system will fully emulate the old. Test voicemail accounts are being created and will be made available to project team members once the TUI license has been installed.

10/25/11: Project kickoff meeting was held on 10/20/11. The team determined that a target go-live date of 1/31/12 would better serve the user base by allowing more time for communications. The initial scope will be a one to one replacement of existing features; the option to activate new features will be evaluated after the existing functionality has been matched and successfully rolled out.

09/27/11: Still working with AT&T to move old equipment. New voicemail server is set up in vendor's lab and HSU Network Analysts have remote access for configuration and training.

09/08/11: Finalizing schedule with AT&T to remove older equipment from Siemens Hall, which must be completed before we can install the new voicemail server.
