System Status
Twelve computer labs are available on campus for your courses and for independent access to printers and course-specific software. Each lab provides either Windows-only or Windows and Macintosh computers with multiple USB ports, and is fully compliant with CSU accessibility standards. An up-to-date list of the equipment currently available can be found in each facility.
Labs are also equipped with a wide range of software. Additional or specialist software may be requested for installation to support a specific activity.
Different labs offer different hardware and software setups, so bear this in mind when choosing a lab for class or event use. Once you have selected a lab, computer access requires only your HSU User Name and Password.
Faculty: It's important to test any specially-installed software you plan to use in the lab in that lab before you teach your class to ensure that everything is functioning as you expect. Contact Classroom Technology Services at (707) 826-3169 for more information on orientation and training.
Humboldt State University is committed to ensuring that all lab users have a positive and productive lab experience. This means:
Please do your part by leaving the working area clean and the computer in proper working order when you have completed your session.
During the summer, the labs operate the following restricted schedule:
All other Interdisciplinary Labs are closed until the beginning of the Fall semester.
The Pay-for-Print system has been deployed in HSU Interdisciplinary Computing Labs to address issues of waste and fairness. If you have problems with the Pay-for-Print system, you can request a refund.

To address the issues of waste and fairness, HSU has introduced a Pay-for-Print system for all printed output from HSU computer labs. Students must now use their c-card funds to pay for all printouts in all computer labs across campus. If you experience problems with Pay-for-Print, you can request a refund.
