HSU ITS has a staff of programmers responsible for the development of custom solutions, setting up local accounts, and troubleshooting local issues relating to the University's deployment of PeopleSoft applications. These programmers work in partnership with the central Common Management System (CMS) team at CSU and the UniSys Data Center where the HSU databases are housed to maintain and manage the applications.

Every CSU campus has a similar team, and the CSU website hosts online groups focused on PeopleSoft development initiatives.

You need only an up-to-date browser and the appropriate log in credentials to access the PeopleSoft development environment.

The CSU PeopleSoft Online Library is an HTML-based website that contains comprehensive documentation for Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise applications and tools. Use this documentation as a research library and as a context-sensitive online help system. It provides standard navigation and search capabilities, including an expandable table of contents, a keyword index, and a full-text search feature.

PeopleSoft HCM (Human Resources and Campus Solutions) developers can access non-production instances on the PeopleSoft Development Environment Index Page on the CSU website.

PeopleSoft Finance (Common Financial System) developers can review activities and initiatives at the various CSU campuses on the PeopleSoft Development Environment Index Page for FIS 9.0 on the CSU website. CFS has different rules than HCM.

The Oracle/PeopleSoft Administrators mailing list is used by CMS to alert members to application update and fix postings as well as other relevant information needed for the administration of the CMS PeopleSoft application environments.  Requests to join the CMS Central Technical User Group (TUG) mailing list should be made through the IT Service Center via your campus’ TUG representative, found in the TUG Roster. Contact the IT Project Office if you don't have permission to view the TUG Roster, and they will provide you with the TUG representative's contact information.

Any staff or faculty member wishing to request PeopleSoft development work should complete an HSU ITS Support Request.

Access to the PeopleSoft development environments website requires local access to the CSU network or remote access via VPN.

All PeopleSoft databases are described on and may be accessed through the CMS Instance Management web page.

The CSU website maintains an entire section dedicated to activities around PeopleSoft applications.
