The California State University system has agreements with Microsoft Corporation for the free or reduced-price use of certain Microsoft products that cover staff, faculty, students, and auxiliary organizations such as the HSU Foundation, Lumberjack Enterprises, and the University Center.

• The Microsoft Campus Agreement provides CSU faculty and staff with the use of certain Microsoft end user products, server licenses and Server Client Access Licenses. The Campus Agreement also incorporates Work at Home Rights (WAH) that allow faculty and staff to install included software on personal systems for which the faculty or staff member is the primary user.
• The Microsoft Select Agreement enables CSU campus communities, including auxiliary organizations, to purchase Microsoft software licenses and physical media not covered under the Campus Agreement at significant discounts.
• The Microsoft Student Select Agreement enables students to purchase Microsoft software licenses and physical media at reduced prices. Students can purchase software under this agreement at the HSU Bookstore.

Guidelines for Eligibility

Faculty, Staff, and Auxiliary Organizations

The program is available to full- and part-time HSU employees and those sharing University computing resources. For example, if three lecturers use the same university-owned computer for their work-related activities, each may have copies of the covered software for their home computers. To enroll in the program, faculty, staff, and auxiliaries should have their designated administrators contact the CSU Microsoft Large Account Reseller, Dell/ASAP Software, as noted at the CSU Systemwide Contract Store.

Students

The Microsoft Student Select Agreement enables students to purchase the following Microsoft products (licenses and media) at significantly reduced prices through the HSU Bookstore.
