These updates should also be pushed down to users workstations. If you are still receiving virus notifications contact your ITC to get an updated Sophos client. For some users Sophos could have quarantined files and stopped some programs from functioning. We do have a fix from Sophos to move the legitimate files back to their proper location. ITS is working on targeting those affected machines and providing the fix. |

| Campus Data Network | Sep 13 2012 - 13:30 | Resnet network users in Cypress, Redwood, Sunset, Canyon, and the Jolly Giant Commons | What happened: Due to an electrical problem, Housing is going to have a large scale power outage/shutdown for troubleshooting and repair in many of Housing buildings on Thursday Sept 13th. We have a generator on hand to power critical network equipment, so areas that are unaffected by the outage will not loose network services. All other areas that will loose power will be on UPS power until the UPS batteries run out or power is restored. |
