Marcy Burstiner

Biography: 

Professor Burstiner is the program specialist on investigative reporting. Her book, Investigative Reporting: From Premise to Publication, is used in journalism classrooms around the world.

In addition to the Investigative Reporting class, she teaches Public Affairs, Mass Media and Popular Arts, Beginning Reporting and Introduction to Mass Communication courses. Burstiner is the former long-time faculty adviser for the student newspaper The Lumberjack.

She spent more than ten years as a business news journalist, including stints at The Deal, TheStreet.com and The San Francisco Daily Journal. She contributes to The North Coast Journal and is the founder of Center for Campus Investigations.
