The Recreational Sports department houses both Intramurals and Club Sports. The Intramural Sports Program at HSU is designed to offer students, faculty/staff and community members recreational activities in which they can participate on campus. Intramural Sports offers team sports in recreational as well as competitive leagues, depending on the participants skill level.

Leagues feature five weeks of round robin play followed by a single elimination tournament. Single day special event tournaments are also offered.

Getting involved in Intramural Sports is a great way to meet new people, stay in shape, and have fun! Stop by our office in the STUDENT REC CENTER 172 to sign up!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Following the five (5) week round robin league schedule, every team with a sportsmanship rating of 19 or higher, no forfeits, and no more than two forfeits will advance to the single elimination playoff tournament. All players must play in at least two league games to be eligible for playoffs. If you play on two teams in the same league you will have to choose a team to play with in the playoffs. The first team you play with will be your tournament team, no exceptions.

Make sure to check in at the Intramural Office (SRC 172) before every game in order to receive credit for participating.
