Research: 

Dr. Braithwaite has published articles using meta-analysis to synthesize the physical education, physical activity, and sedentary behavior literature. His current research interests include methods that explain psychological and sociological determinants of learning and performance environments that influence achievement. As the coordinator for the teaching and coaching emphasis area’s in the Kinesiology program Dr. Braithwaite has established and maintained links with school districts and community agencies to provide clinical and research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. These partnerships allow him to work and consult with local area teachers and schools.

Teaching: 

Dr. Braithwaite has taught many of the undergraduate and graduate classes in the Kinesiology program. His current undergraduate teaching responsibilities includes all the courses related to the professional preparation of teachers and coaches. Courses taught at the graduate level  include content areas related to pedagogy and statistics.
