Scholarship Information
Sue Grigsby Scholarship
Humboldt alumna Sue Grigsby (B.A.) of Everett, Washington, has made a
generous gift to Humboldt State University in the form of a
scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a student in the
Department of Kinesiology and Recreation Administration. A student interested in
applying for the scholarship should submit a letter of application
explaining how he/she meets the criteria listed below. A current
resume is also required. Submit application to the Health and Physical
Education Department office.
Scholarship Criteria:

Kinesiology major.

Undergraduate student who has completed at least 30 semester units and no
more than 95 semester units at Humboldt State University.

Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.

Demonstrated academic promise, good citizenship, and ethics as determined
by the scholarship committee.
Scholarship Amount: $750. Award is non-renewable.

Scholastic proficiency: Minimum of 3.0 GPA required

Leadership ability: In school, community, and professional activities

Personal qualities: Enthusiasm, cooperativeness, high degree of
individual responsibility, initiative, evidence of good personal
relations, and the ability to work with others
Applicants must submit a completed application form, three letters of
recommendation, and scholastic verification by the university registrar´s
