The 28th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2012

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Hanqi Shao, the second place prize of $50 was won by Natalya Jackson, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Bruce Decker
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Taavi Taijala and the second prize of $50 was won by Lani Abels. No third prize was awarded.

 


The 27th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2011

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Taavi Taijala, the second place prize of $50 was won by Hanqi Shao, while the third prize of $25 awarded to William Blan
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Hans Parshall, the second prize of $50 was won by Jason McClelland and third place prize of $25 was awarded to James Kloor.

 


The 26th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2010

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Aubrey Faust, the second place prize of $50 was won by Michael Lewis, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Craig Scott
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Lindsay Janssen, the second prize of $50 was won by Hans Parshall and third place prize of $25 was awarded to Michael Stobb.

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by James Nicovich, the second place prize of $50 was won by Jason McClelland, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Linlin Xing
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Michael Campbell, the second prize of $50 was won by Hans Parshall and third place prize of $25 was awarded to Michael Stobb.

 


The 24th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2008

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Calandria Castro, the second place prize of $50 was won by Sarah Smith, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Michael Stobb
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Michael Campbell, the second prize of $50 was won by Nathan (Alf) Skinner and third place prize of $25 was awarded to Michelle Gledhill.

There was no contest in 2007.


The 23rd Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2006

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Allen Stewart, the (two) second place prizes of $40 were won by Josh Abbott and Tara Brune.

First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Konrad Hunter, the second prize of $50 was won by Ben Kovitz and third place prize of $30 was awarded to Joan Zoellner.


The 22nd Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2005

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Margaret Claypool, the second place prize of $50 was won by Danielle Barry, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Natalie Kramer
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Konrad Hunter, the (two) second prizes of $40 was won by Winfred MacNeil and Morgan Rodgers.


The 21st Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2004

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Trevor Keiber, the second place prize of $50 was won by Amanda Austin, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Kyle Falbo
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by Jeremy Miller, no other prizes were awarded in Category B.


The 20th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2003

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Roy Haddard, the second place prize of $50 was won by Ben Cauchon, while the third prize of $25 awarded to Lee Herman
First prize of $100 in the B category (for advanced math students) was won by  Matt Darnall, the second prize of $50 was won by Jennifer Burman and third place prize of $25 was awarded to Filix Maisch.


The 19th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2002

In the A category (for beginning math students) the first prize of $100 was won by Jason Evers-Hellmich, the second place prize of $50 was won by Roy Haddad, while the third prize was judged a tie with $15 awarded to both Bryant Gipson and Michelle Stutey. First prize was judged a tie in the B category (for advanced math students) with $75 awarded to both Jennifer Burman and Matt Darnall. The third place prize of $25 was awarded in the B category to both Sonia Schink and Jesse Lorton.


 

The 18th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2001

        In the A category the first prize of $50 was won by Jason Evers-Hellmich, the second place prize of $25 was won by Kyle Kelley, while the third prize of $15 was won by Max Lippman. First prize was judged a tie in the B category with $40 awarded to both Adam Parker and Jesse Lorton, who had won the first prize in the A division last year.  The third place prize of $15 was awarded in the B category to Abe Berman, who last year shared in the first place prize in the same division. 


 

The 17th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 2000 

    In the A category the first prize of $50 was won by Jesse Lorton , the second place prize of $25 was won by Jeff Hillyard, while the third prize 
of $15 was won by Rangel Gonzales.  First prize was judged a tie in the B category with $40 awarded to both Sky McKinley and Abe Berman, who had won 
the second prize in the A division last year.  The third place prize of $15 was awarded in the B category to Indigo Mack


 

The 16th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 1999 

    In the A category the first prize of $50 was won by Richard Spjut, the second place prize of $25 was won by Abe Berman, while the third prize of $25 was won by Sarah Stolberg.  First prize was judged a tie in the B category with $40 awarded to both Noova Ongley and Martin Montgomery, who had won the second prize in the B category last year.  [No third place prize was awarded in the B category this year.] 


 

The 15th Annual Mu Alpha Theta Contest, 1998 

In the A category the first prize of $50 was won by Anders Carlson and the second prize of $25 was won by Peggy Morton. There was a tie for the third prize in category A with winners Ron Anderson and Bruce Susich, each receiving $10. 

First prize of $50 in the B category went to Craig Panza, who had won the first prize in the A category last year. The second prize of $25 was won by Martin Montgomery. No third place prize was awarded in the B category this year.
