What has been your best experience at HSU?

My curatorial duties in HSU's geology department of fossil specimens.

Most fascinating thing have you learned recently

A Burgess Shale type biota discovery on Kangaroo Island in South Australia.

What are you plans after graduation?

World travel with the love of my life, Adam. Also pursuing a career as a scientific illustrator, natural history museum curation and of course, field research.

What's your favorite class at HSU?

Invertebrate Paleontology

Who was your favorite professor? Why?

Dr. William Miller III because he is an expert in his field and someone I respect very much and at the same time he has a fantastic and humorous personality.

Have any tips for new students?

You can't afford school so don't repeat classes, and do what you are passionate about, not what seems most sensible.

What was the best thing you did last summer?

I was an assistant guide at the Burgess Shale in B.C., Canada. We guided hikes to the Walcott Quarry and Mt. Stephen Fossil Beds in the Canadian Rockies.
