Transform Learning:
Using your Community as an Arts Resource
July 16-20 (M-F, all day)
Integrate the language arts, social studies and the sciences with the visual arts. This workshop will explore the visual arts through community resources. Museums, galleries, and community murals become learning labs that promote imaginative investigation.
Learn how to enhance your curriculum through the visual arts in this week -long workshop that consists of: curriculum development and hands-on studio activities that include bookmaking, mosaic techniques, and collage.
We will take fields trips to gallery, museum, and community murals and learn techniques in how to dialogue about art and create curriculum around exhibitions and the history of your community.
