Description: A plenary session is a featured session with invited speakers that directly address an aspect of the conference theme. Plenary sessions are scheduled to run alone, with no other sessions at the same time.

Closing Plenary Session - The Future of Fire in Western Ecosystems - Integrating and Adapting Science and Management in a Changing Fire Environment
The closing plenary will focus on the issues discussed in the opening plenary and also topics, ideas, and approaches developed during the week of the conference. Featured speakers include:

Description: Contributed sessions on specific topics are composed of oral presentations that have been submitted as abstracts during the call for papers.
The Call for Papers has now closed.
Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by the third week in August.
Special Sessions
Special sessions are symposia that are organized by individuals who have responsibility for all design and content. Special session titles relate to the conference theme, and are usually quite specific. All presentations focus on the specific focus of the special session. Titles are linked to abstracts.

The Call for Posters remains open, although the Call for Papers has now closed.
Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by the third week in August.
Tuesday, December 2, 6:30 - 9 p.m. (Light refreshments will be served.)
Description: Posters visually describe an individual research or application project, or management program. Posters are displayed for the entire conference. Poster presenters remain with their poster during the evening poster reception, in order to answer questions.
An award for best student poster will be presented at the Wednesday Banquet.
