10-99/00-EP WHEREAS, The statewide senate has asked the campus senates to respond to the Governor's call for community service; and
WHEREAS, The Humboldt State University Service Learning/Experiential Education Advisory Committee has prepared a response that effectively addresses the fundamental issues related to this call; therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of Humboldt State University shares the concerns of the Service Learning/Experiential Education Advisory Committee as expressed in its statement of position on the Governor's proposed community service requirement (see attachment); and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Academic Senate of Humboldt State University forward this resolution and the statement of position on the Governor's proposed community service requirement to the CSU Academic Senate as the response for the Humboldt State University campus.
