VP 67-2 This memorandum is written in response to requests from the Chancellor's Office and from the local College community.
It is a reminder that Jewish students will be observing October 5 and 6 (Rosh Hashana), and October 14 (Yom Kippur) as traditional religious holidays. No student should be penalized for absence from class during these three days.
The identical courtesy should be extended adherents of other faiths where our academic schedule conflicts with religious exercise.
