VP 72-3 This memorandum is to inform all interested faculty members of the dates which have been established for submitting applications for sabbatical leaves for the academic year 1973-74.
Sabbatical leave application forms are available in the President'sOffice and may be picked up in person or requested by phone from Mrs. Virginia Rumble, the President’s secretary, extension 3311. Completed applications must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m.on December 1,1972.
Sabbatical leave applications will be reviewed bythe Research and Creative Activities Committee. The committee is requested to make its recommendationsno later than December 15 1 1972.The announcement of decisions will be made as soon as feasible, probably about a month after receip tof the recommendations.
While the number of sabbatical leaves to be granted cannot be determined until all applications have been evaluated and probable budget allocations have been confirmed,it presently appears that approximately the same number will be granted for 1973-74 as were granted during 1972-73.
