VPAA 97-03 At the recommendation of the Departments of Journalism and Speech Communication, and with the concurrence of the college dean, approval has been granted, effective Fall Term 1998, to officially change the name of the Department of Journalism to the Departmentof Journalism and Mass Communicationand the Department of Speech Communication to the Department of Communication.
The title change, in each instance, will provide clarity in terms of program content and will reflect current current nomenclature used by affiliate organizations.
