VPAA 97-04 The Department of Education has been established at the recommendation of the Dean and faculty for the College of Professional Studies, as well as the Academic Senate, and with the concurrence of the President. The Department of Education will be formally recognized as a unit beginning Spring Semester 1998.
Given the establishment of a Department of Education, the following name changes willalso become effective Spring Semester 1998:
1. Teacher Preparation/Multiple Subjects will now be Elementary Education
2. Teacher Preparation/Single Subjects will now be Secondary Education
3. Liberal Studies/ Multiple Subjects will now be Liberal Studies Elementary Education
4. (DisciplineName) Teacher Preparation will now be (Discipline Name) Education; i.e., Art Teacher Preparation will now be Art Education.
