Megumi Sugimoto, Research Associate University of Tokyo, presents a talk “Turning Points and Counter Measures: Lessons from the 2004 Indian Ocean, 2010 Indonesia, and 2011 Tohoku, Japan Earthquakes and Tsunamis”
Megumi Sugimoto is the first Research Associate at the University of Tokyo’s prestigious Earthquake Research Lab to be appointed to work on vulnerability and disaster preparedness issues. She was a member of the first teams to reach Banda Aceh after the 2004 Indonesia, the 2010 Mentawai, Indonesia, and the 2011 Tohoku tsunamis.
