Major / Advisor Change

Undergraduate students who wish to change their major, advisor, or pre-major must file the appropriate forms with the Academic Information & Referral (AIR) Center, SBS 133. The required signatures must be obtained from the department before the forms are filed. Some departments may have additional requirements.

Forms for changing a major, or declaring a second or double major, are available online or from the AIR Center. Graduate students should contact the Office of Research and Graduate Studies, SH 129 for information about changing their major.

Declaring a Minor

Minors may be declared by filling out a Declaration of Minor form obtained online or from the AIR Center, SBS 133.

Double Major

Students may earn a bachelor’s degree with two majors by completing the requirements for both programs. Although both majors appear on the permanent record, the student receives one degree.

For information on pursuing two degrees, please see Second Bachelor’s Degree under Academic Policies.
