Alice and Paul Paulus' first born was barely five months old when a doctor asked them to hide a Jewish man in their home in Ermelo, Holland. They kept him for a month even though his unwillingness to stay indoors put the family in grave danger. Photograph of Dutch ID cards of Seli and Michel Nathan The Dutch Resistance found this man another underground address, sending a young Jewish couple in his place to the Paulus household. The Paulus's successfully hid this couple in a small attic room for two and a half years.
