Submitted by gak7002 on Tue, 2012-04-03 09:06
This class is based on the publication of the same name that is prepared by the HSU Humboldt Earthquake Education Center and the Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group in cooperation with the California Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, NOAA/NWS and the Earthquake Country Alliance. The class provides a detailed introduction to the region’s most destructive hazards, and ways residents can mitigate those hazards, save lives, reduce injuries and recover more quickly afterwards. The class will be utilized as a basic introduction to disaster preparedness for the region.
