SPATIAL ANALYSIS LAB

Class and Technical Support

If you are taking a course in the SA-Lab please contact your instructor or the lab assistant for class-related questions.

All technical issues should be emailed to the Instructional Technology Consultant (ITC) Staff at: cnrsitc@humboldt.edu.

If you experience problems with either the hardware (computers, printers, digitizing tablets) or software while working in the SA-Lab you should be sure to properly report the event. Students working in the lab are typically the first line of communication when problems occur. Therefore, it is essential that when anything out of the ordinary occurs, no matter how trivial it seems, you send email to the ITC Staff.

If your instructor is present, inform them of the problem. Your instructor may be able to assist in fixing the problem or devising a temporary work-around. If you are working in the lab during unstaffed, open hours when a problem occurs, please email the ITC Staff and place a note on the machine so other students will know a problem exists.

The lab is available to HSU students for special projects (senior projects and graduate theses) incorporating geospatial analysis techniques via enrollment in one unit of NRPI 471, SA-Lab Project. Please contact Dr. Mahesh Rao during the registration period each semester for information on enrollment eligibility and to obtain a magic number.
