American Indian College Motivation Day
Annually SASOP staff coordinates
this outreach activity for high school students in grades 9-12. Students
are welcomed to the HSU campus by President Rollin Richmond and greeted
by American Indian college students. A keynote address by acclaimed speakers
and tribal leaders precludes a day of informational workshops, campus
tours, lunch, cultural activities, and a college fair. College recruiters
from throughout the western states are invited to attend and provide information
for the 300 plus students and community embers in attendance.
