Usage/History

This is one of a number of micro-set thermoregulators used in the analytical/physical chemistry lab in addition to the two used in the Precision Scientific™ circulating baths. Used in conjunction with heating elements and relay-control switches they were used in a variety of baths to maintain temperature to high precision (±0.02°F). Micro-Set thermoregulators, described as catalog number 61847 in the BKH Catalog 69 Scientific Apparatus instruments and supplies for: Industrial, Educational, Clinical and Research Laboratories. San Francisco (1968) p 1021 are used to set the temperature to a precision of ±0.01°C.
