There are still a few vacancies on Senate Standing Committee, for faculty (senators or general faculty).  Forward your name to the Senate Office if you are interested in serving.  Appointments are made by the Senate Appointments and Elections Committee.

A faculty senator is needed to serve on:  Faculty Affairs Committee (1) - 3-yr term

Faculty are needed to serve on:

            Academic Policies Committee (1) – 3-yr term

           Constitution and Bylaws Committee (3) – 1- or 2-yr terms

SUMMARY OF ACTIONS TAKEN AT THE MEETING MAY 7, 2013:

  • Resolution on Revision of the Humboldt Policy for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research (#33-12/13-Gahtan) (2nd Reading) – Passed unanimously; forwarded as an Emergency Item [approved by President Richmond]
  • Resolution on Anti-Hazing Policy (#36-12/13-EX) (2nd Reading) – Passed unanimously; forwarded as an Emergency Item [approved by President Richmond]
  • Seating of New Senators and Senate Elections:
