
Distinguished Faculty Awards
Since 1964, HSU has honored a member of the faculty with the Outstanding Professor Award. In 1986, the campus added the Scholar of the Year Award. In Spring, 2009, the Academic Senate revised the awards process (Resolution #16-08/09/FA Revised)), increasing the number of awards to the following five:
- Excellence in Teaching Award - Lecturer
- Excellence in Teaching Award - Tenure-line faculty
- Scholar of the Year
- Outstanding Service Award
- Outstanding Professor Award.

Nomination portfolios are due by 5 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2013. Nominators - please sure to notify nominees well in advance of the deadline, and if possible, share the responsibility of gathering letters in support of the nomination, in order to help the nominee put together an effective portfolio.
