TOTAL PROGRAM COST (see table below) consists of the following components:
Application: refundable if not accepted or the program cancels
Tuition:includes academic credit and administrative costs
Academic fee: covers honorariums, local guides, the course reader, first aid supplies, permit fees, and miscellaneous expenses.
Lodging/Meals: includes camping fees, and covers accommodations at lodges when not camping or backpacking. Also includes meals for 2/3 of the course.
Rafting fee: covers 11-day Copper River Raft trip
Transportation: Includes chartered buses, rental of vehicle and fuel. Students are to arrive by their own means to Anchorage, Alaska.
Miscellaneous: film, crafts, gifts, e-mail, etc.
Required texts: purchase prior to U.S. departure, approximately $20.
Program Personal Expenses: covers bear spray (required) and food on your own for 16 days.
