COSTS

Total Program Cost (see table below) consists of the following components:

Application: refundable if not accepted or the program cancels.

Tuition includes academic credit and administrative costs.

Transportation: includes rental of vehicles and fuel. Participants are to arrive by their own means in Hilo, Hawaii on July 3.

Academic: covers course reader, first aid supplies, campground and entrance fees, and miscellaneous expenses.

Boat: Weather permitting. We will hire a support boat for 4 days of canoe sailing.

Program Personal Expenses Food, incidentals $20/day (est., cost varies with individual preferences.)

FINANCIAL AID

The Sierra Institute and HSU Extended Education do not provide financial aid for their programs. However, if you already receive aid, it may be possible to apply it to Sierra Institute programs. Please refer to our financial aid section in general information.
