INSTRUCTOR

Bret Blosser

Bret Blosser with two Guatemalan womenIn 2004 I completed doctoral studies in anthropology, specializing in the Mesoamerican region, including the Maya area, at Tulane University, New Orleans. My fieldwork and dissertation are on Huichol Indian ceremony and history in western Mexico. I previously worked as a river and jeep guide and Colorado Outward Bound School instructor in the canyonlands of southeastern Utah. I designed and taught Sierra Institute’s programs in Belize and Guatemala, the Colorado Plateau, and the island of Hawai'i. I live in Moab, Utah.

I look forward to meeting you and to sharing my enthusiasm for the Maya and their spectacular landscapes. As a small group traveling together in extraordinary worlds, we will share adventures that offer powerful new lessons.
