COSTS

Total Program Cost (see table below) consists of the following components:

Application: refundable if not accepted or the program cancels

Tuition: includes academic credit and administrative costs.

Academic fee: covers honorariums, local guides, the course reader, first aid supplies, campground and entrance fees, and miscellaneous expenses.

Lodging: Covers accommodations at hostels/hosterias when not camping, backpacking. Some meals included.

Transportation: Participants are to arrive by their own means in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The cost for transportation from Buenos Aires to Zapala, Argentina, where the program begins, is included in the Transportation Fee collected prior to the program. More information will be provided in the acceptance letter.

Miscellaneous: Laundry, contingencies, film, crafts, gifts, etc.

Required texts: purchase prior to U.S. departure, approximately $50.

Health Insurance: required for study programs abroad. Includes repatriation and medical evacuation coverage. Purchased via Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

International Travel: Passports are required and currently cost between $140-$165 (See State Dept. website). Allow up to 6 weeks to process. Expedited service is available for an additional fee. More details will be in the acceptance letter. Visas may be required for non-U.S. citizens. Also, Argentina charges a reciprocity tax, which is due upon arrival.
