BASW Child Welfare Training Project

BASW Child Welfare Training Project

Educational stipends provide support of $15,000 in the final year for students in the Fulltime BASW program.

Senior year field placements must be in a California County/Tribal Child Welfare Agency or California Department of Social Services. Upon graduation, students must work in a county/tribal child welfare service agency for one year. Native American students are eligible to complete their payback in a Tribal child welfare setting within the United States.

Students must be enrolled as Social Work majors at HSU. Students must have a May graduation date. The number of stipends is limited. Applications must demonstrate commitment to public/tribal child welfare. Priority will be given to applicants who reflect the diverse client populations currently served by child welfare agencies in California.
