Vision

The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs will be a leading contributor towards advancing the HSU mission by providing opportunities that enhance the overall experience of the student and the campus community.

Mission

Operating under a student centered philosophy, the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs supports students in the achievement of their academic, personal, and professional goals. Our programs and services promote individuality, responsible citizenship, sustainability, and inclusiveness. To achieve this mission, we strategically focus on enrollment management, engagement, diversity, student development, health and wellness, and operational efficiency.

Engage

  • Focus the work in every department on student success and retention, in support of the institutional goals spelled out in the Enrollment Management Plan. (13-14)

Empower

  • Create new and/or enhance existing support services to meet the needs of traditionally underrepresented students. (13-14)

Enrich

  • Support and celebrate HSU’s Centennial Year through programs and activities for students and alumni. (13-14)
  • Incorporate the mission and vision into the recruitment and orientation of new staff.  Strengthen our efforts to diversify our staff. (13-14)
  • Generate additional revenue to enhance our offerings. (13-14)
