About the Summit

The MultiCultural Center’s annual Social Justice Summit will be held on March 7 & 8, 2014 on the HSU Campus. The Summit will focus on Diversity of Resistance — ideas and tactics that can be used in the struggle for social justice, equity, and inclusion. One unit of academic credit is offered in Ethnic Studies and Women’s Studies.

What is Social Justice? Social justice is about educating ourselves and others, and taking action to change the status quo. Social justice is about giving voice to communities who have been forced into silence; social justice is about equity and equal access. What is your definition of social justice?
