Proctoring Services

Cal Poly Humboldt’s Testing Center offers proctoring services for anyone needing to take tests in Humboldt County (and surrounding areas) for another school or agency. Students participating in distance learning programs or correspondence degree programs, and professionals needing to be tested in order to receive certification in their field may be able to arrange to have their tests proctored at our facility.

Proctoring Service Check List

  1. Email your information to testing@humboldt.edu or call 707-826-3611
  2. Pay your proctoring services fees in advance:
  • NON-Humboldt Students pay through CASHNET
  • (select Testing Center Services > Tests > Distance Learning Exams)
  • Humboldt Students: You will pay for your Proctoring Services through your MyHumboldt webpage

Proctoring services fees are:

  • Humboldt Students: $10.00/hr
  • NON-Humboldt Students: $20.00/hr

Additional Information

Proper identification and test fees will be required on the day of your test.  Please email testing@humboldt.edu or call 707-826-3611 for an appointment. Testing appointments are made based on time and room availability.

Pencil and Paper Based Testing

Pencil and paper based exams must first be received by the Testing Center prior to scheduling a test date and time. The exam must be directed to:

Once you have requested the exam to be sent from the originating college, university or agency to the Testing Center, please call to schedule an appointment to take the exam.

Arrange for the home campus or agency to include a pre-paid self-addressed return envelope.

Exams that need to be expedited back to the original college, university or agency will need to be paid for by the student ($15.00).

Web Based (Browser) Testing

Email correspondence from another college, university or agency detailing the web based exam instructions need to be sent to testing@humboldt.edu at least 24-48 hours prior to scheduling an appointment.

Unscheduled/Canceled Testing

Exams will be returned to the originating institution if an Individual has cancelled an appointment, failed to appear to an appointment, or did not schedule an appointment.

Cal Poly Humboldt is a member of the Consortium of College Testing Centers, a group of college and university testing centers throughout the United States that supports distance learning, and abides by professional standards and guidelines. The purpose of the CCTC is to make test administration services available to students at locations away from their own campuses. The CCTC is a free referral service provided by the National College Testing Association (NCTA).
