Accessible Websites Webinar, January 30 & 31
There will be a webinar on Monday and Tuesday on the topic of Accessible Websites from 10-11:30 in Library 114. Everyone who is developing HSU websites is encouraged to attend.
Overview:
Institutions of higher education want to use the internet to reach faculty, staff, and students. However, failing to create an architecture that can be accessed by those with disabilities can create a climate of discrimination. Understanding the current legal landscape of online accessibility - and the techniques to design accessible web environments - grows more important as universities rely more on the web to communicate with all their constituents. Accessible Websites: Compliance And Design will both address modern compliance requirements and provide modern design techniques to address this issue.
